What You'll Do

As an Communications Specialist & Event Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in executing external communication tactics and capabilities for Flatiron's International teams across Germany and the UK. Collaborating closely with our local Partnerships teams, as well as our Communications and Marketing team in the US, you'll drive initiatives that position Flatiron's unique Real-World Evidence (RWE) experience in oncology on an international scale. This role requires strategic storytelling, social/digital experience, brand building, field marketing capabilities, working with local, external partners and vendors, and staying abreast of dynamic conversations within the realms of cancer research, healthcare, and technology.

  • Develop and support execution of communication roadmaps and tactical plans aligned with business objectives, audience targeting, and industry trends across Germany and the UK including digital/social media campaigns, strong content development and copywriting across company owned channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs, light website copy).
  • Draft content and editorial calendars that include content roadmaps to support key conferences, milestones, partnerships and events - pull through corporate voice, tone and key messages to ensure unified global story;
  • Collaborate with brand team to update website layouts (content and direction for graphics)
  • Coordinate Flatiron's participation in conferences and events, managing logistics and registrations, speaking engagements, and booth execution
  • Support communications activities that amplify our patient advocacy program, Flatiron Voices. Be able to draft and develop content that shifts from commercial / corporate narrative and highlights patient impact and community needs - and work with the corporate communications team to identify internal opportunities to bring these moments to life.
  • Manage content and editorial calendars, partner with corporate communications to update media trackers following key milestones for quarterly output and metrics reporting
  • Strong collaboration skills across multi-stakeholders including, corporate communications, brand and marketing to ensure cohesive storytelling
  • Monitor industry activities, including competitor analysis, legislative updates, and relevant events in healthcare and oncology

  • You have 1+ years of relevant experience in marketing or external communications (ideally within healthcare (internship or working student experience is sufficient)
  • You are a native-level English and German speaker (C2)
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • You have expertise in social / digital media strategy, stakeholder management, press material development and an understanding of media in Germany, the UK and other countries
  • You are willing to travel frequently to meet with the team and to attend events, mainly in Germany and the UK
  • You have exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
  • You are experienced with AI tools and can leverage LLMs to scale and enhance communications workflows, including content generation, synthesis and insight development
  • You have demonstrated skill in coordinating content-rich initiatives and events
  • You have strong organisational, planning and project management skills
  • You have experience in relevant tools for this position, e.g. Figma, Hubspot
  • You are a team player with a “can do attitude”
