What You'll Do
In this role, you will work as a member of the Research Sciences (RS) department, primarily supporting the Custom Solutions and Services (CSS) team within the Client Solutions organization. This team provides customized real-world data and real-world evidence solutions to address the most important research questions across clinical development, market access, and commercial use cases for our life sciences partners. As part of CSS, you will:
- Act as a principal investigator on client-facing RWE solutions engagements, accountable for the study design, analytics specification, conduct, and reporting of real-world oncology studies
- Design and execute studies leveraging predictive modeling and causal inference methodologies to support evidence generation and decision-making for medical affairs, clinical development, and related strategic use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to devise proposals for RWE data, analytics, and consulting solutions for customer use cases across the oncology product lifecycle
- Engage with clients to drive demand and buy-in for study concepts by demonstrating a deep understanding of the strategic scientific context behind a customer's asset, EHR-derived real-world data, and epidemiologic approaches
- Provide scientific oversight to study team co-investigators and programmers to produce high quality client-facing protocols and statistical analysis plans, ensure accurate implementation of analyses in accordance with study plans, and report valid and reliable results
- Have accountability over project scope, including identifying scope expansion and the need for amendments or additional project budget to complete additional research objectives requested by clients
- Drive repeat business with external stakeholders by fostering a collaborative, productive research environment and through successful delivery of scientifically rigorous study materials
Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you’re an analytical thinker and excellent communicator with experience or interest in designing studies and analyzing real-world data (e.g., healthcare claims or electronic health records). You are excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Data Science (or closely related field) with 7-8 years of relevant experience or a PhD with 4-5 years of relevant experience.
- You have experience in oncology and a deep understanding of observational data and have a track record of success applying epidemiologic approaches and advanced statistical methods to problems in the public health and/or pharmaceutical industry
- You are familiar with predictive modeling or AI methods for solutions supporting oncology clinical development, RWD/RWE, or other regulated healthcare decision-making contexts
- You have experience contributing to the development of machine learning or predictive modeling solutions for clinical research or clinical care applications such as digital twins or clinical trial simulations
- You are proficient in R programming
- You have experience with EHR-derived real-world data and/or claims data
- You have consulting experience within the healthcare domain and are skilled at building and navigating client relationships
- You are an excellent communicator, with experience drafting and developing complex, technical documentation and delivering presentations to scientific audiences
- You have strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and decision-making skills necessary to evaluate, plan and implement multiple high-visibility projects in a timely fashion
- You have the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, constantly changing, diverse, and matrix environment

- You can deliver messages in a clear and concise way and can articulate complex information to clients in an easy-to-digest format

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
