NEW YORK, NY

Flatiron Health, the leader in cloud-based oncology software and analytics, today unveiled OncoCloudTM – the next version of its cloud-based software suite that includes OncoEMR®, OncoAnalytics® and OncoBilling®. In addition to key updates to its core products, the company added a new solution to enable its clients to participate in value-based care initiatives like the Oncology Care Model (OCM). Together, the suite is the industry’s most comprehensive cloud-based software offering for community oncology practices

“Over the past 18 months, we’ve spent significant time listening to our clients on what mattered most. We’ve taken their feedback and made a number of investments to strengthen our core infrastructure and develop new solutions that help cancer care providers streamline workflow so they can focus on delivering quality patient care,” said Nat Turner, co-founder and chief executive officer, Flatiron Health.

“From their clinical and engineering expertise, to their level of support and forward-thinking approach to technology, Flatiron Health is the right partner to help ensure long-term success,” said Thomas Gallo, executive director, Virginia Cancer Institute. “I look forward to seeing what the future brings as the Flatiron team continues to enhance the OncoCloud software suite to meet the needs of cancer care providers everywhere.”

Investments in OncoEMR to Optimize Clinician Workflows

Based on extensive feedback from OncoEMR users, Flatiron Health has made a number of investments to the software’s infrastructure and features including:

  • Modernized OncoEMR user experience: These updates are based on extensive research with physicians to modernize the daily experience of all OncoEMR users. The new experience is currently live in beta testing with several practices and will be widely available in fall 2016.

  • Embedded NCCN Order Templates: In collaboration with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the NCCN Chemotherapy Order Templates for breast and non-small cell lung cancers are now available as regimens within OncoEMR. Regimens for additional cancers will be available throughout 2016.

  • Digitized assistance applications for patients: Developed in collaboration with Amgen, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly and Company, Seattle Genetics and others, this integrated functionality leverages OncoEMR to provide tailored reporting and form auto-population to help practices identify eligible patients for enrollment and reduce data entry errors.

New Services to Participate in the Oncology Care Model

Earlier this year, Flatiron Health announced new value-based care services to help OncoEMR clients meet OCM reporting requirements. Available by July 1, the solution is comprised of automated reporting for all OCM practice-reported quality measures and the seamless ability to create a care plan within OncoEMR. As part of this solution, the company will also be providing analytics to enable practices to better understand and reduce the total cost of care.

New OncoAnalytics Tool for Revenue Planning

Lastly, the company rolled out a new margin analytics tool within OncoAnalytics to provide users with a clearer view of drug costs and reimbursement activity. Providers can leverage these reports to examine payer and distributor trends for use in future contract negotiations and revenue planning.
