Flatiron Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire the Assets of American Family Archives & Chronicles, Inc.

Flatiron Health has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets developed by American Family Archives & Chronicles, Inc (AFAC). Flatiron has been working with AFAC for over three years, and we believe that the addition of their team will help Flatiron continue to develop a high-quality, comprehensive mortality dataset.

In clinical research, a significant amount of resources and effort is dedicated to collecting mortality data. In real-world datasets, however, mortality data is inherently less complete because there is not the same level of intentional data capture. When real-world mortality data is incomplete, it complicates researchers’ ability to conduct meaningful analyses.

AFAC will help Flatiron continue to improve the quality of our survival endpoint and develop stronger products and services benefiting all of our customers. Flatiron is committed to further developing our high-quality, regulatory-grade real-world datasets, and with this acquisition, we can continue to improve treatment options and accelerate cancer research.
