NEW YORK, NY

Flatiron Health today announced that Pennsylvania-based cancer clinics Abington Hematology Oncology Associates and Gettysburg Cancer Center have implemented OncoEMR® to manage clinical workflows, enhance productivity and deliver advanced patient care.

OncoEMR is a cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) that can address key concerns within an oncology clinic: treatment, disease and business management. Backed by decades of oncology experience, OncoEMR is a leading EMR designed specifically for oncology and certified to support eligible providers with meeting both Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures. It was developed by Altos Solutions Inc., which was acquired by Flatiron Health in May 2014.

“We chose OncoEMR due to its innovative features, intuitive platform and ability to support our practice from a clinical and operational perspective,” said Pallav Mehta, MD, Abington Hematology Oncology Associates. “We wanted a secure, cloud-based EMR that could help our providers at the point of care. OncoEMR offered the best feature set to meet our needs.”

OncoEMR is a key product of the OncoCloud™ integrated software suite, which provides comprehensive support to cancer clinics across EMR, advanced analytics, billing and patient needs. The suite also includes OncoAnalytics™, a first-of-its-kind advanced analytics tool that unlocks meaningful data from multiple systems across various vendors, as well as the SeeYourChart® patient portal and integrated billing management system.

Both Abington Hematology Oncology Associates and Gettysburg Cancer Center currently leverage Flatiron’s OncoAnalytics to gain valuable business, operational, clinical and financial insights.

“We’ve been using OncoAnalytics to access valuable business and clinical insights, so the decision to further integrate our technology platform with OncoEMR was a natural next step,” said T. James Harper, Jr., director, operations and business development, Gettysburg Cancer Center. “The addition of OncoEMR allows us to comprehensively manage our clinic and deliver enhanced patient care.”
