NEW YORK, NY

Flatiron Health today announced that Alabama Oncology, the largest community-based provider of cancer care services in Alabama, has selected OncoEMR® as its electronic medical record of choice.

Designed by a team of leading oncologists and world-class software engineers, OncoEMR is a cloud-based electronic health record that enables providers to easily document and manage patient care. Certified to support eligible providers in meeting Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures, OncoEMR can seamlessly fit into a clinic’s workflow and provides advanced treatment support in areas such as clinical research and pathways.

“We were looking for a technology offering that would help us enhance operational efficiency and support clinical workflows,” said James Lasker, MD, president, Alabama Oncology. “After viewing OncoEMR, we felt that it was the best fit for our needs. The software has all the functionality and capabilities we were looking for in an EMR.”

OncoEMR is a key product of the OncoCloud™ integrated software suite for cancer clinics. The suite also includes OncoAnalytics™, a first-of-its-kind analytics tool that unlocks data from multiple systems, allowing providers to access valuable insights spanning business, operational, clinical and financial metrics. Alabama Oncology plans to leverage OncoAnalytics following the successful implementation of OncoEMR.

“Flatiron Health is developing innovative, cloud-based technology solutions to meet the operational and clinical needs of cancer clinics,” said Chris Barnes, executive director, Alabama Oncology. “We were impressed with the OncoCloud product suite and look forward to continued collaboration with the Flatiron Health team.”
