Flatiron Health Announces New Solution to Support Cancer Care Providers with Oncology Care Model Participation Requirements

NEW YORK, NY

Flatiron Health announced today that OncoEMR®, a leading cloud-based electronic health record designed specifically for medical oncology and OncoAnalytics® a first-of-its-kind analytics tool, are being enhanced to support participating cancer care providers with meeting The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation’s (CMMI) new Oncology Care Model (OCM) reporting requirements. Flatiron Health’s OCM participation solution will be available prior to July 1, 2016.

The OCM is a five year voluntary program where participating providers will receive both a care management fee and shared savings during an Episode of Care. To qualify for these payments, participating providers must adhere to a number of new requirements.

“Flatiron Health is committed to continually investing in software solutions that enhance the quality and value of patient care and provide seamless workflows for clinicians,” said Bobby Green, MD, senior vice president, clinical oncology. “Given the evolving reimbursement landscape, we planned for several OncologyCloud® software platform enhancements that will allow cancer centers to easily participate in value-based care programs like OCM as soon as the programs begin.”

OCM Solution to Meet Reporting Requirements

In advance of the start of OCM, Flatiron Health focused on building new features within OncoEMR and OncoAnalytics to enable participating providers to meet all OCM reporting requirements. These updates include:

  • Automated reporting of all OCM practice-reported quality measures;

  • Embedded, evidence-based regimens and pathways at the point of care; and

  • Seamless ability to create a care plan that contains the 13 components in the Institute of Medicine Care Management Plan.

Furthermore, Flatiron Health is developing new analytics and clinical transformation approaches to further empower providers in their transition to value-based care. The company will continue to work closely with the Flatiron Provider Network to optimize the delivery of high quality patient care.

These enhancements are part of Flatiron Health’s commitment to continually build the most advanced, cloud-based oncology software to enhance the quality and value of care. This spring, the company plans to unveil its new OncoCloud™ suite, a next-generation product suite that will take cloud-based oncology software to a new level.
