Manager, Life Science Partnerships
NY office
Reimagine the infrastructure of cancer care within a community that values integrity, inspires growth, and is uniquely positioned to create a more modern, connected oncology ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Manager to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll generate and close business opportunities with our biopharma partners and support them in advancing their research priorities using Flatiron’s real-world evidence and AI solutions and services. This role is located in New York City. Our technology-first approach has allowed us to build RWE data sets with higher quality, accuracy, recency, and scale than any other cancer data that is available. We have active partnerships with the top 25 oncology biopharma companies and many biotechs, top-tier academic medical centers, the FDA, NICE and other key stakeholders across the oncology care ecosystem, all focused on using data to accelerate the research and treatment of cancer. In this role, you will:
- Grow revenue at our existing biopharma partners by building upon new and existing relationships, proactively pitching solutions, and negotiating commercial terms
- Support development of new business proposals -- directly contributing to Flatiron revenues across the Research business
- Become a subject matter expert on our biopharma partners portfolio and research priorities to help inform and identify growth opportunities
- Support Flatiron’s strategic approach to long term partnerships with biopharma users of our research offerings
- Become a subject matter expert on Flatiron’s offerings and reliably represent our capabilities to advance the research priorities of our biopharma partners
- Support our partners in their use of Flatiron’s research offerings by facilitating data and analytical onboarding sessions, identifying value-added opportunities for RWE and supporting onsite client meetings to collect feedback and support use cases (anticipated travel: <20%)
- Support advancement of internal Flatiron initiatives and priorities (e.g., identifying future growth opportunities, optimizing internal ways of working, etc.)
- Act as the voice of the customer across internal functional groups (product, research clinicians, quantitative science, engineering, business development, legal and finance team members) as a key influencer of go-to-market strategy
Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you’re an individual with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, an analytical approach to problem solving, strong client management and organizational skills. You are highly motivated and bring an eagerness to drive business growth.
- You have a B.A. or B.S. (preferred discipline in biological sciences, economics, engineering, biostatistics or similar)
- You have 4+ years of client-facing experience delivering products, services or analyses to biopharma companies
- OR; Advanced degree in a biological science (e.g., PhD), applied health (e.g., MPH), or business (e.g., MBA) with 3+ years of strategic client engagement/business development
- You have independently owned book-of-work and/or end-to-end client management for a biopharma account(s) with minimal oversight
- You have at least 1+ years of experience leading/supporting sales of product/services to biopharma

- You have exposure to project work in oncology
- You understand biopharma industry dynamics across stages of drug development cycle / value chain and familiar with biopharma org structure
- You are experienced working in team or cross-functional settings and have a strong willingness to collaborate
- You are detail oriented with a strong desire to develop content expertise (e.g., RWE, clinical oncology, HEOR)
- You are able to navigate ambiguity
Extra credit

Where you’ll work
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days set by you and your team. For more information on our approach to hybrid work, please visit the how we work website.
