Flatiron Health’s OncoEMR® Earns ONC Health IT Certification from Drummond Group LLC
Flatiron Health’s OncoEMR has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) that has been empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the federal government’s program. The stamp of approval designates that OncoEMR offers the functionality that enables eligible providers to meet the requirements of various regulatory programs that require use of certified EHR technology.
“Achieving 2015 ONC certification was a necessity for Flatiron because it has a direct impact on the regulatory and financial success of our provider customers. This certification required development efforts in OncoEMR over the course of the past 24 months in order to ensure that our practices are able to use the most advanced health information technology and are best enabled for electronic exchange of health information” says Bobby Green, MD, senior vice president of clinical oncology.
To earn the certification, OncoEMR was tested to be in accordance with applicable standards and certification criteria put forth by the Department of Health and Human Services.
With more than 15 years of testing experience across various industries, Drummond Group LLC brings a high level of technical expertise to this process. Its healthcare experience also runs deep, having certified hundreds of EHRs since becoming an ACB in 2010.
OncoEMR, which met the requirements for 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification, was designed to help today’s community oncology clinic meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. From a modernized user interface that makes OncoEMR faster to use, to an integrated value-based care solution that facilitates Oncology Care Model and MIPS participation, Flatiron continually invests in OncoEMR to help practices remain financially stable and independent, regardless of the changes around the corner.
